Company history

For almost 30 years we have been active in the areas of heavy and large-volume transport, project and system forwarding and in the area of ​​contract logistics.

Our company history in the logistics sector, which extends across various company forms and structures, began in 1994. As a handling forwarder, our managing partner started implementing his ideas for individual customer service and transport logistics tailored to our clients.

    Fleet renewal and new technologies

    Extension of the commercial vehicle workshop

    With our own brake testers and regular Dekra and TÜV inspections, our commercial vehicle master workshop is being further modernized and expanded.

    Mobile systems and maintenance

    With our new contract logistics area, the maintenance of mobile transport systems in our commercial vehicle workshop and the storage of the systems at our company headquarters also begins.

    Move to the new location

    Storage space and workshop

    With the availability of over 14,000 square meters of paved outdoor storage space and the commissioning of our commercial vehicle workshop and trailer maintenance, new challenges begin at our new location.

    New structures and processes

    The tasks are becoming more complex and the number of orders is increasing. These changes require a restructuring of the previous company processes as well as the outsourcing of various service areas to associated company forms.

    Our company

    LC Schwertransport und Kontraktlogistik GmbH is set up as one of these outsourcing and in connection with the planning and construction of its own logistics center in Kerken on the Lower Rhine. Planning for the purchase and conversion of a new location with appropriate storage facilities and a commercial vehicle workshop begins.

    The beginning

    The history of the founder of our company began on March 13, 1994 as a freight forwarder in the field of normal freight traffic, large-capacity and plant transports as well as in the logistical handling of plant projects with delivery of all plant parts from various shippers and production sites for international shipment to a destination.
